Solid, Secure and Convenient – Perfect for My Tool
16 September 2025I recently installed the 12V Electric Central Locking Whale Tail Pad Lockable Compression Lock (OZY-WTLOCKALLB) on my ute toolbox, and I couldn’t be happier with the upgrade. The build quality feels strong and reliable, with a heavy-duty compression design that pulls the door in tight for a dust and weather-resistant seal. The electric central locking feature is a game-changer. I can now lock and unlock the toolbox at the same time as my vehicle, which saves me fumbling for keys when I’m on site. I like that it still has a traditional key and padlock option for extra security when I need it. The all-black finish also looks sleek and matches perfectly with my black powder-coated canopy. Installation was straightforward — the stud mount design makes it easy to secure in place, and wiring it into my 12V system was simple enough with basic auto-electrical knowledge. Once hooked up, it worked straight away without any fuss. Pros: Strong, durable compression lock with smooth operation Central locking works seamlessly with my ute’s system Weather-resistant and secure, with key + padlock backup Smart all-black finish to match modern toolbox styles Cons: Requires wiring into your 12V system (not plug-and-play if you don’t already have central locking) Remote is not included, so you’ll need to integrate with an existing central locking kit Overall, this lock has given me peace of mind and convenience. It’s well worth the investment for anyone who wants their gear safe, secure, and easy to access. Rating: 5/5 – Highly Recommended!
